NVIDIA Releases Affordable GeForce RTX 4070 (12GB) Graphics Card with Impressive Performance Capabilities NVIDIA has finally released its latest graphics card, the GeForce RTX 4070, which promises to deliver high performance for users who want to upgrade their gaming and creative experiences. With features like ray tracing, DLSS, and AI-powered assists, this graphics card is sure to appeal to a wide range of users looking for a powerful and affordable solution. The card uses the same AD104 silicon as the RTX 4070 Ti, with just 46 out of 60 streaming multiprocessors enabled, resulting in 5,888 CUDA cores, compared to the 7,680 on the Ti. It also has 46 RT cores, 184 Tensor cores, 184 TMUs, and possibly 64 ROPs. Despite a narrower memory bus, the RTX 4070 features 12GB of 21Gbps GDDR6X memory across a 192-bit wide memory interface, providing 504GB/s of memory bandwidth, which is even higher than its Ti counterpart.

The weight of the card is approximately 750g which is incredibly light by today's standard, it has a compact design, measuring almost 27 centimetres in length. Its dual-slot feature makes it an ideal fit for your device. Additionally, the card's backplate is open on both sides. Moreover, the card has the signature DUAL appearance and texture that PALIT has incorporated in their products for the last year or so. The card comes with a vented backplate for enhanced ventilation.

As NVIDIA prepares to phase out the Ampere lineup, the ADA series takes its place, offering faster and similarly priced cards. With 5888 shading cores, the GeForce RTX 4070 Founder Edition surpasses its predecessor, the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. 

One unique aspect of the RTX 40-series graphics cards is that NVIDIA is the exclusive provider of the power adapters included, whether for the Founders Edition or custom-designed boards by partners. The Palit card uses the traditional 8-pin header, and not that 12VHPWR connector.

Despite conforming to PCIe Gen 5 specifications, the GeForce RTX 4000 series  features a PCIe Gen 4.0 x16 host interface. The GeForce RTX 4070 comes equipped with 12GB of GDDR6X memory and a 192-bit wide memory bus. With a TGP of 200W, a minimum 500 W power supply is recommended, but the Founder Edition card realistically only hits around 150-200W. Board partners have more TGP allowance, which is where the card's wattage will increase.
