GeForce RTX 3070 has been fitted with 8 Gigabytes of GDDR6 memory, it runs at 14 Gbps (effective data rate), which is a data-rate most of us can identify with when compared to the last-gen products. We'll show you the full specification details on the next pages. But hey now, eye candy first. The IO panel is used as an air vent and shows four display connectors, three DisplayPort 1.4, and one HDMI 2.1 connectors that will bring 8K 60 Hz HDR to a single HDMI cable. The card has two fans and uses the traditional power connector design, e.g. 8-pin, but two of them. The card has a nice stylish looking shroud with underneath it that muscular cooler. Two die casting molded “Aluminum Alloy Armor” plates fully cover the circuit board and directly attach to all the hot spots on PCB. A dual BIOS is applied as well, you can use it as fail-save or switch in between a BIOS 1: Performance Mode and BIOS 2: Silent Mode setting. As you can see the new design sites well, at least with us. On the top side, you'll also find an additional RGB connector. The rear has been fitted with a metal backplate.

The cooler extends quite a bit from the PCB, as you will learn in the teardown, the graphics card PCB itself follows an ITX form factor and is only 17cm in length.  The rest of the real-estate used is for cooling, based on a dual-fan cooler.

Above you can see the dual-8-pin power headers each providing 150W, thus 300W. Another 75W is rated for the PCIe Expres slot. So all-in-all the board design is 375 Watt. And that's plenty. To the top right side, you can see a small micro switch, here you can select the performance or silent BIOS. In our experience, a performance differential was hard to be measured, while the silent mode resulted in only 36~37 DBa. So we can highly recommend that setting.
