We start off this review with our in-house photo-shoot. A few pages that show the ins and outs with photos, to get you a better idea to grasp what we are talking about in today's article (and we just know you like pretty pictures). Right, Palit is back in the house. The gamerock edition typically serve an Asia market, you can see that from the design. It has to be stated though, Palit improved and made things a little more relaxing to look at. They simplified the design with dark tones which are terrific looking, and hey now if you look hard enough, is that ... the eyes of an owl? ;)

Yeah, this is not a bad looking card really. Interestingly enough, Palit can suffice with just two fans, and trust me when I say, that does not sacrifice whatsoever on cooling performance and acoustics. The little sister of the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is the RTX 2080. It is making use of the same architecture, but don't let that fool you as it does use another GPU, the Turing TU104 graphics processor is tied to 8GB GDDR6 of graphics memory managing an effective data-rate of 14 Gbps. You will a dark designed matte black product. The card is tick (2.7 slots), long (almost 31cm) and weighs roughly 1.3 kg.

The Gamerock Premium model has a dual-fan design. The card has a single HDMI port and three DisplayPort connectors as well as a new virtual link connector for VR purposes.

Founders card:

  • Boost: 1800 MHz / Base: 1515 MHz
  • Memory 14.0 Gbps GDDR6 (effective data-rate)
This card:
  • Boost: 1875 MHz / Base: 1515 MHz
  • Memory 14.0 Gbps GDDR6 (effective data-rate)
I already mentioned that NVIDIA is now seriously competing with the AIBs, very small difference right?

The GeForce RTX series has DisplayPort 1.4a ready connectors, enabling support for 8K displays at 60Hz. Lacking and sorely missed is the dual-link DVI connector.
