We stated it already, NVIDIA mandated that board partners send out their cheapest SKUs, the Dual is that, a cost-effective solution that matches a 499 USD price target. Realistically, the cheaper SKUs certainly cannot be considered 'cheap', but often some compromises on PCB design and cooling have been made. The Dual is short for dual-fan, and yes dual slot solution.

The Dual fan edition of the Palit GeForce RTX 2070 powered by NVIDIA's more modest offering in Turing, the A revision TU106 graphics processor. These cards are fitted with 8 GB GDDR6 memory running at an effective data rate of 14 Gbps. The product will sell for roughly 499 USD/euros (at least it should be in that range). We, however, expect the SKUs to run un a sub 550 EUR range due to limited stock availability. The card is based upon a nice matte black PCB and uses two power headers (6 and 8-pin).

As the name suggests, the dual model has a dual-fan design. The card has one HDMI port and three DisplayPort connectors as well as a new virtual link connector for VR purposes. The GeForce RTX series has DisplayPort 1.4 connectors 1.4a Ready, enabling support for 8K displays at 60Hz. This card includes three DisplayPort connectors, one HDMI 2.0b connector, lacking and sorely missed is the dual-link DVI connector.

  • Boost: 1,620 MHz / Base: 1,410 MHz
  • Memory 14.0 Gbps GDDR6 (effective data-rate)
