Palit GeForce GTX 560 Sonic Platinum review -
Product Showcase
Alright, we'll walk you through the card. Above, is the packaging design first of course. If you look to the right... yep yep... the frog is back ;)
Here we have the bundle, the basics are included. Clock frequency wise the card is factory clocked at 900 MHz on the primary graphics core, and slightly above reference at 4200 MHz on the gDDR5 memory (effective data rate). Included in the bundle are the regulars like PCIe power converters, driver CD and manual.
This card is made with silence in mind with that silent (single) fan cooler. The benefit as you'll learn later on is a very silent effect. The design is stylish alright, we like that. Red PCB, which is roughly 9-inches in length. This card will eat up two PCI slots (dual-slot).
Two 6-pin PEG power connectors are required for this board. Power consumption is rated at a 170W TDP for the reference design 1024MB model, the TDP as we measured it, is in fact a fraction higher due to the factory overclock. The power-connectors have been seated along the top side of the graphics card.
