Final Words & Conclusion

Final Words & Conclusion

We reviewed the 1000W model of this unit like a year ago. That one was Gold certified. The 750 Watt model has to do with a Bronze efficiency level. It is pretty darn good value for money though. Both on the inside and outside the PSU simply is done right as the aesthetics simply are good. With our PSU reviews we are always the first to state that our review remains somewhat subjective with our real-world test approach. Test methods wise we say our test is valid, as it is precisely the kind of load you guys would apply to a PSU like this. Scientifically, however the tests are a little less precise and we want to be very transparent about that fact. But yeah, honestly I'm impressed with the offering that OCZ has here for 75 EUR combined with a 5 year warranty. Product and feature wise from A to Z things are done right, the PSU next to that has cool looks, is modular and comes with sleeved cables which if you where planning to do so, is going to save you heaps of time not doing it yourself. Aesthetics are subjective though.

Aesthetics

A dark PSU finish with a RED light coming from the PSU. Top notch we find the flat dark cables. All connectors have really nice sleeving in thin black, that is seriously going to look good inside any PC. The stickers on the sides could have been left out really. Way too flashy. A good thing to help you keep thing tidy is of course the fully modular design as well. Here you only use the cables you actually need and that prevents you from that swarm of spaghetti inside the PC. Cabling wise all cables are nice and lengthy and the 1000W model comes with a plethora of connectors. We definitely love the four 6/8 PCIe PEG connectors for multi-GPU gaming. Another PRO is the single 12V rails, it has more then enough ampage to power at least two graphics cards.

Concluding

Overall the OCZ Fatal1ty 750 Watt series power supplies seem to be of nice build quality with good aesthetics and features. Now combined with the Bronze factor you'll have decent energy efficiency as well. Our tests show that the PSU positions itself where it needs to be be and this. But lets round things up. The PSU is efficient enough, has good looks, is modular, is very stable, comes with sleeved cabling and then we have to acknowledge it's seriously silent as well. So it's all good really. With a good size of 150mm x 86mm x 160mm it will install easily in almost any PC.  The 75 EUR MSRP we feel is and the 5 year warranty that you receive with this product IMHO is classy. There's very little else to say other than confirming that the OCZ Fata1ty 750 Watt PSU is simply a product that will offer very good value for money.
