Right, unboxing the product. It's all green man! Packaging + manual + drive is what you get (and all you need of course), Borat -- izzeee naaice.
You can find the model we tested under the product code (SKU) OCZSSD2-1AGT120G and this is the 2.5" SATA II 120GB version. You should easily be able to place it somewhere in your chassis.
And of course, it's a perfect fit for laptops. This SSD would bring a whole lot of performance onto that laptop alright, all at low power consumption and virtually no heat.
Slim and light-weight, 9.5mm tall, it's the standard for notebook drives. When we look at the connectors, we spot the standard power and SATA connector, this drive is SATA2 compatible, which definitely is a requirement as the read performance alone already tops 200 MB/sec easily.
Installation wise it's the same as a traditional HDD. Pop it in, connect it, bind it, format it and you are good to go at horribly fast speeds. It uses the same connectors as a SATA storage device. Mind you -- all the way to your left you can see two pins. That actually is a jumper. Once the jumper is in place you can flash new firmware to the SSD.
OCZ is about to inject an SSD into the market that is labeled Agility 3 SSD. What's the difference in-between Agility 2 and now 3 you might ask ? Well, two primary things really, controller and NAND flash memory type. Labeled with advertised speeds of of 525 MB/sec with write speeds of 500 MB/sec this product should be really interesting for many of you.
