Mounting the cooler is a relatively easy thing to do, though the motherboard needs to come out of the chassis - unless you have a chassis with a mainboard cutout for CPU cooling. Now you first prepare the backplate, nuts need to be aligned with the holes by shifting them into position. You can and should position the backplate 100% similar to shown above, that's the only right way.

With the Intel install you get two types of standoff screws. The upper short one is for the HEDT platforms like 1366, 2011, 2011-3, 2066, the lower one with the longer screw threading is for socket Socket 1151, 1150, 1155, 1156.

You should have already inserted your processor, applying thermal paste is not needed as the kit comes with TIM applied already to the cooling block. With the backplate in place, we now install four standoff screws on which the entire block will be secured.

Before you seat the cooling block one tip, sort your wiring. Especially that USB connector can be blocked by say a heatsink or something. So define in what angled position you want to block to rest. I advise to plugin your wiring already and then seat it. 

Here an example of the wiring: As you can see the USB cable is rather large and it can collide with your system memory if positioned like that. We'll need to rotate the unit 90 degrees for it to be able to fit. You connect the cable splitter for fans towards the CPU block and last but not least you need to connect the USB cable towards a USB block on your motherboard. 

The next step: Once we seat the cooler in the position it aligns up with four thumb-screws. With the help of a screwdriver, we can secure four thumbscrews. Turn them tight until they can't go any further.  Right, once the motherboard is out, 10 minutes work maximum, we positioned the cooler and are ready for the first test run. The downside sure is that there is a bit of cabling going on there with the cooler.
