A meet and greet with the Guardian 921

On the next few pages we'll show you some photos. The images were taken at a high resolution and then cropped and scaled down. The camera used was a Canon 450D 12 MegaPixel.

Right so here we see the packaging. Hey we always show it so you can recognize it in the stores. Standard cart box, with a nice design.

The chassis itself is carefully packaged in standard Styrofoam. The chassis is wrapped in a plastic bag and the most vulnerable parts of the chassis have another protective layer of plastic applied to it, overall very well packaged.

Once unpacked this is what the chassis looks like. Now the photo is a bit off as a window is reflecting sunlight on the chassis. Later on in the photo shoot we'll have some better pictures, also with the rig powered up, it will be showing the sheer design as it's intended.

To keep the overall costs down the chassis has been built of fairly cheap materials. Sheet metal and plastic are keywords here. But honestly when done right, there is very little wrong with that to be honest. At the front side we have the bezel and can open up a front door to access any optical drives or whatever you'd like to install in the 5.25" drive bays.
