The  Day 2 early morning Keynote was hosted by NBC 11's Scott Budman, an industry & technology reporter . Scott hosted a series of 1:1 interviews with interesting people that have unique perspectives on visual computing and how it impacts our lives, from art and entertainment to sports and space exploration.

Special guests include Kyle Busch, NASCAR racing sensation; Bernard Charles, CEO of Dassault Systems; Eileen Collins, former NASA space shuttle commander; and Lorne Lanning, film director and founder of Oddworld.

Scott Budman - He talked visual computing and the changes in the industry. And after his quick introduction went straight to the interviews. The first one was Eileen Collins.

Eileen Collins - This former astronaut talked about the visual displays and the importance simulators in this industry. One of the tools from NASA she was showing was SCISS Uniview. Which simulates stuff like the trajectory of the space station. Pretty amazing as is also can zoom into mars in a very Google Earth stylish manner, the moon and the earth ... following the trajectory of the ISS space station.

Other topics of discussion where the Hubble telescope and what is had for an impact and actually visualizing the universe.

Mars Sims (his actual name) was assisting Eileen with a visual demonstration of the actual software controlling several components on the mars rover. Among them the stereo camera's which allowed them to digitize, measure and understand what's going on on that red globe. After gathering that data they can make 3D simulations and visualize all that data.

Bernard talked about designing and showing products virtually. He was evangelizing 3D as a medium, a medium to show you the coolest products. That way the product can be shown to costumers before they even exist.
