In the first part of our article we'll be working with some really good high-frequency memory from Corsair. This is EPP memory (SLI-Ready).

The CM2X1024-8500C5 memory can handle a clock frequency of 1066 MHz with 5-5-5-15 timings, which obviously are slightly slower than common timings compared to low latency memory at 677 or 800 MHz. This memory impressed me extremely. You'll see the results later on in our benchmark suite as we'll thoroughly test this.

We'll also have a look at another set of Corsair memory, theĀ 6400C4 memory low-latency 2GB kit (no photo's as that kit arrived hours ago).

The good people from Zalman supplied this new CNPS9500 AM2 cooler. It impressed the living daylights out of me. Really quiet, really funky design and hey .. it really cooled down the CPU fantastically. We are doing 400 MHz overclocks with this cooler on AMD processors with ~60 degree C temperatures. We'll show you all that in a bit.
