Now, this is a 3000 USD product that is "a loaner" from Tones.be, typically I'd dis-mantle (pardon my pun there) it but obviously cannot do that today. Here are some photos available from Nvidia themselves so that you know what lies beneath.
Basically you are looking at the PCB, in the middle a PLX PCIE Bridge so that the two GPUs can communicate together directly. The GPUs are surrounded by the GDDR5 memory ICs and located in the middle you can see the VRM Area, which as thermographic images will demonstrate, are the hottest spots on the card.
