Final Words & Conclusion

Final Words

Yes, the noblechairs EPIC WHITE Edition gaming chair is not exactly a budget-friendly option, but it is a chair of a class of its own. It'll serve you well. Then again, I have been sitting on an Ikea Markus that costs less than 200 EUR for years now and will have no problem using that chair again. And that makes reviewing gaming chairs extremely subjective. We do see and feel the high quality of this product, it will blend in seamlessly with any office or room setting. Many certificates are appropriate in this context, including DIN EN 1335, ANSI/BIFMA X5.1, and BS 5852, which is the UK's Fire Safety Compliance standard for office environments. Although I find the seat a bit hard, I've been quite captivated by the chair. The chair is quite comfy, and it allows you to forget about any discomfort you may be experiencing, even throughout extended sessions of your favorite game or at your job. In conjunction with this chair variant (White Edition), Noblechairs has developed its new hybrid leather materials and offers these as option, which is pleasant to the touch while also being breathable and durable.

Overall

The noblechairs Epic White Edition has a nice appearance - it's classy and understated, and it doesn't scream out, "I'm a gaming chair!" as it is just a good-looking product that will look nice in any household. On the headrest is a huge but discreet embossed shield and a little badge, which serves as the only marking. There has been a great deal of attention to detail. No matter where you look, the craftsmanship is really great, and the chair is extremely durable. After three months of testing, there was not a single ruck in the fabric or a single dropped thread to be found. There was no squeaking or creaking from the machinery. The only thing that stands out is some rattling in the armrest, which was present from the beginning. The faux leather is comfortable to the touch and has a quality sense, despite the fact that the Epic White edition is very rigid (this, however, makes it much more durable and ensures that we remain in the correct position at the computer). Design and installation are two different things. The noblechairs Epic White edition is suitable for people of various heights, but it is particularly comfortable for people with larger length. The instructions in the manual are clear and concise, and the assembly process is straightforward. You have been provided with the necessary tools to complete your tasks. It took roughly 30 minutes for one person to complete the installation; noblechairs recommends enlisting the assistance of a second person, although this is not always necessary (like for example in my case). You'll find (novel) lumbar support in this chair, which will assist the chair in supporting your body in the manner that you like. This chair is simple to clean and breathable, even when exposed to high temperatures in the environment (like 30 degrees Celsius). The wheels perform admirably on both soft and hard surfaces. You will be provided with plush velour cushions for both your neck and lumbar regions. You can tilt the chair by a maximum of 35°, from 90 to 135°.

Conclusion

One thing we'll all agree on is the fact that these chairs are not cheap. I have a gut feeling that shipping around 30kg is adding to the total cost of manufacturing. But in the end, the money invested might just pay off. Comfort is incredibly important, and so is the condition of your back. The chair’s design is comfortable and adapted to people with larger dimensions - large, fully adjustable armrests, wide and high backrest, deep seat. If you can afford such expense, you won't regret it.

The downsides are that the seat I find is a bit on the hard side, I would like softer padding. But I also have to state, you'll get used to that pretty darn fast. Also, the arm wrests make a clackety noise when you move your arms over them. I do like a silent chair. The 4D design might be responsible for that. In the end, this all is nitpicking though. Also, we feel the wheels could have been made with a  rubber coating, not plastic. Despite my remarks, these chair really are excellent overall and easily does receive a “recommended” award because of all the features and comfort that it brings to the table. Noblechairs do offer you to adjust the seat completely to your liking and comfort, and that does add its own value. That said, you need to remember that it’s not a cheap solution, if you need to go cheaper and want comfort, here's a tip; have a look at the Ikea Magnus series.

if you can't afford both, then keep an eye out for our December competitions, as we'll give the chair as tested today, away for free.
