Yes, the noblechairs HERO Black Edition is not exactly a cheap gaming chair. This high-quality product will fit nicely into any office and room. Several certificates are applicable here in the context of office use, such as DIN EN 1335, ANSI / BIFMA X5.1, and UK Fire Safety Compliance: BS 5852. As subjective as this is; I’ve been very satisfied, especially since I got the chair in these tough (especially for the back) times, lockdown, etc. I sit by my desk much more than before, so it was a relief to grasp this piece of hardware. The chair is very comfortable and allows you to forget about any discomfort, even during long sessions at your favorite game or work. Noblechairs have introduced its new hybrid leather material with this chair version (Black Edition), which is nice to touch and breathable/durable. Let’s indicate the main points in detail below.

Aesthetics & Quality

The noblechairs HERO Black Edition looks great – it’s classy/subtle, and it’s not screaming like “I’m a gaming chair!”. The branding consists only of a small badge and a large but subtle embossed shield on the headrest. There’s a lot of attention to detail. The quality is very high no matter where you look; the chair is sturdy. After over three months of testing -  there was no single ruck in the fabric or a dropped stitch. The mechanism didn’t squeak or creak. Well, the only exception is some rattling in the armrest, but that was happening from the beginning. Overall the HERO Black Edition is rather stiff (thanks to this, however, it is much more durable and keeps us in the correct position at the computer), but the hybrid leather is soft in touch and feels premium.

Design & Installation

The noblechairs HERO Black Edition is good for all heights, but it’s the most comfortable for the larger frames. The manual has good instructions on how to proceed with the assembly. You received appropriate tools to get things done properly. The installation took about 30 minutes for one person; noblechairs suggests having the help of a second one, but it's not always needed (like for example in my case).

Features

You get (innovative) lumbar support here; this helps the chair to support your body to your liking.  This chair is easy to clean and breathable, even in high ambient temperatures (like 30 degrees Celsius). The wheels glide well on both soft and hard floors. You get the soft velour pillows for both your neck and lumbar. You can tilt the chair by a maximum of 35°, from 90 to 125°.

The Verdict

The noblechairs are not cheap. But in the final result – it should pay off. Comfort is incredibly important, and so is the condition of your back. The chair’s design is comfortable and adapted to people with larger dimensions - large, fully adjustable armrests, wide and high backrest, deep seat. If you can afford such expense, you won't regret it. I see a massive improvement compared to the previous gaming chair I owned (which wasn’t the least expensive), although I thought it was already a good one. Yeah, I was incorrect. On the other hand, if you’re on a budget, there might be some quite comfortable and less pricey chairs (especially the typical office ones) out there. From a perspective of potential upgrades, I see a couple of them. It would be nice to cover the side bolts on the plastic piece or use some dark-painted bolts instead of silver/aluminum. The second one – less rattling coming from the armrest would be good (although I didn’t adjust frequently). Also, it’s not super easy to construct with all of them pieces, but it shouldn’t be a surprise with a gaming chair of this size. The wheels could have been made from rubber, not plastic. Then there’s something obvious; it’s not ideal for smaller frames. The armchair is very well designed, constructed, comfortable. On that note, we’re giving this product a “Top Pick” award because of all the features and comfort that it brings to the table. That said, you need to remember that it’s not a cheap solution.
