Product Showcase Exterior
Right then, let's start off with the review. As always we begin with packaging. It's a simple yet informative thing to show as when you purchase a chassis, honestly you do not want any defects and scratches on it. The Deep Silence 1 (to be named DS1 from here on) is packaged in cardboard.
Once you take the unit out of the cardboard box you'll notice two layers of polystyrene protecting the unit, which on its end is covered in a plastic bag. Packaging was done decent enough, risk on damage is fairly minimal.
Included in the bundle is the standard gear, as well as a 8-pin ATX extensions, we like that. And should you not want to use the grommet holes on the backside, even closed covers are included, nice detail.
So after we unpacked it we can see really observe what the chassis is all about. I like it very much though this photo doesn't do it any justice just yet. The design is kept simplistic, yet there is an enigmatic theme going on, you'll spot little latches and buttons all over the place.
Typically I do not have a foot fetish, but that is the right stuff right there. These are rubber suspended case feet, crafted in the a classy "hi-fi" look.
Personally I like simplistic styles and lines and I like the fact that the chassis does not scream with logos. Everything is matte black and easy to the eyes manufactured from 0.7mm thick steel. The doors are very interesting. Features wise the chassis definitely is well equipped though, as we'll show you.
