MSI Radeon HD 7950 Twin Frozer III review - Introduction

MSI is back in da house, this time with the Radeon 7000 series cards. Armed with a customized PCB and the popular Twin Frozr III cooler they have launched their Radeon HD 7950 model.

Now you most likely read our reference reviews on the Radeon HD 7950 already, that card came out nicely. However, the board partners are free to customize the 7950. That means custom PCB designs, they can add custom cooling, make custom BIOSes and sure factory overclock.

MSI is added in our line-up of R7950 reviews with a customized model. It is the TwinFrozr III version that clocks in at a nice 880 MHz on the graphics core with it's memory clocked default at an effective data rate of 5000 MHZ.

So in the sub 450 USD / 400 EUR price bracket you can purchase the product as shown below, definitely cool looking with that black PCB, performing faster at default and yeah, it cools better and more silent as well. The reference Radeon HD 7950 is already good, so yeah... this will be even better.
