First up a photo of the final build, we'll apply a 12900K proc as well as CL38/5200MHz Corsair Dominator DDR5 and an MSI Core liquid S360 LCS unit. Yeah, you can already tell that's a good look eh?

Almost intimidating to watch, but the board boasts an outstanding 19+2 Phase configuration and is powered by a 105A Smart Power Stage. Two massive heatsinks are connected by a thick heatpipe. The upper heatsink, on the IO sideis absolutely massive and completed with a gorgeous embossed dragon design to match.

There are DDR4 and DDR5 memory slots available on specific Z690 motherboards, however, they are not backward or forwards compatible, so make sure you choose the correct ones. We make use of Corsair's DDR5 Dominator modules.

Yep, that PS2 port on the back I/O panel ... perhaps useful for old-school keyboard users other than that we feel it's something that could have been used for something else (real-estate wise). To the left is a pair of USB 2.0 connections, one of which is used for flashing the system's BIOS. The remaining eight USB ports are all USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, with the Type-C port providing two 20Gbps transfer speeds. WAN/LAN wise you'll get connected with two 2.5 GbE LAN ports as well as the super-fast Intel WiFi 6 module. Finally, you'll find gold-plated audio jacks, which will allow you to connect to an 8-channel audio system.

And yes, also a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot here too next to two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, you won't be able to take full benefit of them right away. Also, only 126 lanes are available, so that's x8 two times when both slots are used.  However, I'm confident that graphics cards and other devices will be able to take advantage of the upgrade in bandwidth in the not-too-distant future.

On the Unify, there is also a backplate, which helps to distribute the thermal load across the PCB more evenly. Well, that and protection of essential zones on that PCB of course.

MSI also supplied an MSI Core liquid S360 LCS unit, it's drop-dead gorgeous with a fully functional LCD color display that can be used.

Beautiful 2.4-inch (61mm) LCD display is included with the pump unit. The screen, which is controlled by the MSI Center software user interface.

Within the software suite, you can assign system monitoring and information at a glance, transforming it into a real-time interactive system billboard that can be tailored to match any architectural theme.

And there you have it, if a dark-themed PC is your thing, this could offer you an excellent look with a wide feature set.
