After receiving the MSI Unify, we were taken aback by the sheer size of the package, but as you'll see on the following page, there was a solid reason for this.
However, an essential aspect is the board itself, which is based on the new Intel Z690 chipset and has a slew of advanced features that promise to be a high-performance model that leaves nothing on the table.
Meet the Unify. The design has been revamped with an aesthetic overhaul, and there are plenty of enthusiast features available to make this a choice for many, let's walk through the most prominent ones.
Dark hues dominate the surface of the board as Unify is a highly dark product. In contrast to the Carbon, the Unify incorporates a backplate to aid in thermal load distribution throughout the PCB surface area.
This board is a beast, with 19+2 phases of 105A stages on display. It appears that the Intel 12th Generation processors will be quite demanding on your system and its cooling system.
Inside the packaging, we find many accessories, including SATA cables, RGB extensions, a WiFi antenna, stickers, case badges (which are also in stealthy black to match the motherboard), and even a microfiber cleaning cloth. The CPU is supplied with electricity through two 8pin 12V inputs that are tucked away in the corner of the mobo. In addition, you can see the thick heatpipe that connects the IO-sided power phases to the ones on the side of the printed circuit board.
There are many connectors and RGB wise. If you have a Corsair RGB system, you'll be glad to know that the MSI Unify comes with a JCorsair header, which lets you connect your Corsair goods directly to the motherboard through a single cable. The Z690 Unify continues to have conventional RGB/ARGB headers for the Mystic Light if you haven't already done so.
