On this page, I'll quickly divert from the actual motherboard as MSI includes some really hip extras. On-board at default, you will notice an M.2 SHIELD FROZR with metal shields integrated onto the heatsink which enlarges the thermal surface and prevents 3 x M.2 devices from throttling. However, look below:
Yeah, that's not a graphics card my man (or woman). MSI includes an add-in board that can run four extra M.2 units at full speed, so summing up that totals 7 x Turbo M.2 devices (!)
The add-in card is actively cooled (silent), the M.2 units are shielded preventing them from throttling, yeah... not bad, eh?
The MEG Creation also offers MSI Thunderbolt M3, an included add-on card offering two Thunderbolt 3 ports and display ports. That kit right there is an easy 100 bucks if you purchase something similar in retail.
And a quick last photo before we return to the actual motherboard, MSI has revamped its WIFI antenna, that I like, sturdy base and it works well as you can position the antenna.
