The sturdy cooler is hidden beneath the card's stylish sleeve. The TRI FROZR cooler is a high-end component, and the new TORX FAN v5.0 design is used for the fans. The backplate, which should aid in passively providing thermal conduction properties to the card, is an intriguing discovery. Everything about hardware has been made better. Inside the PCB, there are thicker copper traces (2oz), and the cooler's exterior is made of brushed aluminium with edges that have been cut precisely. Out of the box, the dual BIOS is set to Silent mode. For comfort, the GAMING BIOS mode can be turned on to make the product run "cooler." As explained on the previous page, the difference is not in performance. Instead, it is in the fan profile, which lets you choose whether you want a quieter or cooler running product.

For this review, we use an AIB partner card. GeForce RTX 4070 Ti has 12 GB of GDDR6X memory that works at 21 Gbps offering 504 GB/sec of memory bandwidth. On the following pages, we will go into more detail about the product's features.  The hardware of the SUPRIM X has been improved in every way. There are thicker copper traces (2oz) inside the PCB, and the cooler's outside is composed of brushed aluminium with neatly carved edges. The dual BIOS is set to Silent mode by default. The performance BIOS option can be activated for added thermal performance, making the product run "cooler." The difference, as described on the previous page, is not in performance. Instead, it is in the fan profile, which allows you to select whether you want a product that runs quietly or quietly.

The ADA series will replace the Ampere lineup, which will be phased out of the market as these cards are priced similarly but are significantly quicker. Where GeForce RTX 3080 Ti was equipped with 10240 stream/Shader processors, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti kicks in at 7680 shading cores whilst being significantly faster.   . The dark grey and black design should be easy to spot because it is mostly the same as the RTX 4090 model, and MSI has done an excellent job of making it look stylish despite its size. The MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X TRIO has a max TDP of up to ~300 watts when you slide open the power limiter, which means it needs a big 3.5-slot design that weighs 1.6 kg and a very complex cooling system that uses a lot of materials.

NVIDIA is the exclusive provider of power adapters included with RTX 40-series graphics cards, whether the Founders Edition or custom-designed boards by partners. The 12VHPWR connector has been under much scrutiny as of late; in some isolated cases, it overheated and melted. It has a lot to do with cable bending too close to the connector, user installation and perhaps poor quality control of these power connectors. We find it extremely hard to get these connectors even hot.

Despite conforming to PCIe Gen 5 specifications, the GeForce RTX 4000 series employs a PCIe Gen 4.0 x16 host interface. GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is equipped with 12 Gigabytes of GDDR6X memory, which operates at 21 Gbps (effective data rate). This provides a substantial amount of volume and bandwidth combined it's 192-bit wide memory bus.
