Product Teardown

Teardown

It is a request that is getting more and more daunting as we do not want to damage products. But user request on this is clear, you like a teardown and want to look to see what is going on at the PCB level. So here we go, meet the GA104 GPU, GPU and memory power phases, and GDDR6 memory from Micron GDDR6X. Looking at the PCB, what a beautiful clean PCB/component design, look at that.  Of course, the board does need to be hooked up towards 2x 8-pin connectors.

The GPU VRM has 1-phases managed by OnSemi NCP8610 paired by AOZ5311NQI DrMOS from Alpha & Omega Semiconductor, rated for 50A or 55A. Memory is a 2-phase design paired with a 7222 controller and Niko Semi PK616BA MOSFETs. GDDR6X memory chips originate from Micron and have SKU code D8BWW, rated at 1188 MHz (=19 Gbps GDDR6X effective).
