Let's start with our photo-shoot. A few pages that show the ins and outs with photos, all taken with an in-house photo-shoot of course. As stated there are two models released, the regular 1050 with 2GB graphics memory yet also the 1050 Ti with 4GB memory. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 with 2GB, this one is based on a 640 shader processor en-counting GP107-300 Pascal-GPU. The second SKU would be the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, based on a GP107-400 Pascal based GPU with 768 shader processors.
The MSI GeForce GTX Gaming X series is a rather familar looking product alright. You will spot a nice dark PCB and of course the new revision TwinFrozr VI cooler is being used. These cards will look just terrific in a dark themed PC.
As board partners are allowed to release the 1050 (Ti) model cards in their own configurations you will see many versions, mostly based on customized PCB/components and the obviously mandatory different cooling solutions. This GAMING X edition of the series has higher clocks on both the GPU and memory sub-system, RGB LEDs and a back-plate. Power (75 Watts) is delivered though the PCIe slot and thus motherboard as well as an added 6-pin PCI-Express power connector. The 1050 Ti GAMING X 4GB is clocked like so (Boost Clock / Base Clock / Memory Frequency): 1493 MHz / 1379 MHz / 7108 MHz. The 1050 GAMING X 2GB is clocked at 1531 MHz / 1417 MHz / 7008 MHz.
The card itself is a dual-slot solution, it is composite heatpipe based, the GPU is cooled by a nickel-plated copper base plate connected to one heatpipe (8mm) on this MSI GAMING X series graphics card.
The heatpipe layout increases efficiency by reducing the length of unused heatpipe and uses a SU-form (it is bent into that shape) design. Zero Frozr technology eliminates fan noise in low-load situations by stopping the fans when they are not needed. Up-to roughly 60 Degrees C, the fans will not spin.
It's been brewing for a while now, a 'Ti' model of the GeForce RTX 3090. The flagship series is further improved, with faster memory, more shaders, and an increased TGP sitting in the 450-500 Watt ...
