Let’s see what the MSI Clutch GM31 series looks like.
The mouse is based on the PixArt PAW-3311 Optical Sensor for the wireless version and PMW-3360 for the wired variant. It has six buttons, of which five are programmable. The surface is pleasant to the touch, finished in matte black, with a single MSI logo on the back (which can be lit up by RGB LEDs). The mouse’s weight is very low (especially for a wireless one), as it’s 73 g. The wired version weighs 58 g.
The design is rather minimalistic and shouldn’t stand out much, even in office spaces. The RGB is available on the MSI logo.
The MSI Clutch GM31 Wireless is optimal for the palm claw and fingertip grip styles. But one note here – it’s a relatively small mouse.
The housing is ergonomic. You can find two buttons in total on the left side. The grips on the sides are rubberized.
The provided USB cable is 2 m long, braided, and has a Type-C connection.
Last, but not least - the magnetic charging station and the USB dongle.
This article reviews the MSI Clutch GM31 mouse in a wired and wireless edition. It’s an optical gaming mouse that was launched today, on 12.01.2023. It’s a successor of the GM30 (which had only a wired version). The Clutch GM31 series targets gamers, but it should also work more than fine as a regular mouse. This time, the optical sensor is not the 6200 DPI PMW3327 but a 12K DPI PMW-3360 in the wired version and the same DPI in PAW-3311. There is a possibility to change DPI on-the-fly, and the resolution steps are 400/800/1600/3200/6400.
