We spot not one but two 8-pin CPU power headers; you could use only one of course. But if you are desiring an uber extreme overclock and need some more AMPage .. two really is the way to go.

You'll also notice a 3rd power connector closer to the first PCIe slot, this one you can use to feed your graphics cards some more juice over the PCIe bus, yes everything about this motherboard screams extreme.

We see quality solid core chokes and obviously the Socket 1366 for Core i7 based processors. The board incorporates the latest durable components like solid capacitor ferrite core chokes, quality components. That not only ensures stability -- but also reliability and extended lifespan. Also notice that every part on this motherboard that can create heat is being cooled by a passive cooler.

The XPower comes with APS, which is short for Active Phase Switching. Much like say DES on the Gigabyte motherboards, it can en/dis-able power phases depending on load. And that means better power saving. The X58 board has a 16-phase Dr.MOS PWM; which is more than enough for overclocking and tweaking. Only the best selection in components is seen here.

Once we flip the board around once more we again stumble into the DIMM slots, DDR3 of course. There is DIMM support for six 1GB/ 2GB/ 4GB / 8GB DDR3 DRAM sizes -- up-to triple-channel.
