The B350M Gaming Pro motherboard is to be considered an entry-level class solution in a wide segment of B350 series motherboards. The motherboard is still built using MSI's design alright and was pimped up a bit. Simple sure, but nothing about it seems dull.

The motherboard includes all of the standardized B350 chipset options with even a full speed M.2 SSD slot, and while this isn't an SLI and Crossfire fragging rig, you do get one x16 slot (configured as Gen 3 x8 with a Ryzen APU or full x16 with a regular Ryzen processor). So this means your PCIe lane configuration will be dependant on the processor you purchase, unfortunately. The board follows a 9.6 in. x 8.7 in. (24.4 cm x 21.0 cm) m-ATX Form Factor.

The I/O panel of the B350M Gaming Pro reveals six 3.1 ports, no type-c connectors here though. A Realtek ALC887 audio codec is the source for audio which will use a few quality capacitors, used on most motherboards these days. There is a single PS/2 combo port that can be used for either a keyboard or mouse.

  • 1 x PS/2 keyboard/ mouse combo port
  • 2 x USB 2.0 Type-A ports
  • 1 x VGA port
  • 1 x DVI-D port
  • 1 x HDMI port
  • 4 x USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A ports
  • 1 x LAN (RJ45) port
  • 3 x audio jacks

The board gets one 10/100/1000 Realtek 8111H Gigabit LAN controller.

Missing, DisplayPort, that is a bit of a miss really. The board is powered by one 8-pin ATX power header to the processor.
