Application Software

Application & Control Software

Mountain provides software called Base Camp. You can download it here. The software has become rather stable after a couple of releases.

Once launched, it will detect any compatible peripherals and also check for a firmware update.
There are separate tabs for:

  • Profiles (there are 5 overall)
  • Lighting (you can alter brightness, speed, and direction)
  • Key binds
  • Macros
  • General mouse settings (more about this below)

You can adjust the buttons' actions, including mouse, macro, media, and even keyboard or OS functions. The settings are updated on-the-fly and saved in the internal memory, so the software doesn’t even need to run after you’ve set things your way. Regarding that, the DPI adjustment ranges from 100 to 19 000,  with 50 DPI steps in the range of 100-10 000 DPI, and then it’s 100 DPI steps when you’re over 10 000 DPI.  There’s also the option to adjust the polling rate (125, 250, 500, or 1000 Hz). You can set a button response time between 2 and 12 ms (in steps of 2 ms). What’s more? Lift-off distance is adjustable as well and can be set to low or high.
