MOUNTAIN switches
MOUNTAIN Linear 45, Linear 45 Speed, and Tactile 55 switches come pre-lubed and offer smooth tactility at pleasant, muted sound levels and are rated 100M actuations. Their stainless steel springs go easy on your fingers and ears. Featuring translucent housings, MOUNTAIN switches should satisfy your RGB cravings. They come as 3-pin plate-mount design, but it’s possible to mount other 3 or 5-pin compatible switches to the body of Everest 60.

The material for the Stem is polyoxymethylene (POM). For the top housing, it’s polycarbonate (PC), and for the bottom housing: nylon (PA66). Hot-Swappable Everest 60 comes with Hot-Swappable Mechanical Switches, allowing you to mix and match switches to suit your style and gaming needs. The modular approach makes it quick and easy for you to replace the switches with no need for soldering, be that 3- pin plate mount or 5-pin PCB mount switches. Mechanical switches give you a more perceptible feel than the rubber membrane used in most cheaper keyboards. As a result, mechanical keyboards are rapidly gaining an increasing share of the gaming peripherals market. The performance is good, and the reliability is outstanding, so what more can you ask for? Aaah, yes – full key rollover (but can you push more than ten buttons at once?) and anti-ghosting.
Linear 45 (used here) is possibly the best choice for first-time buyers or experienced users. Why’s that? The crucial features here are 45 g of actuation force and tactile response. These work best for gaming. The keycaps are made of PBT, which is more reliable/resistant than the ABS, and the per-key RGB backlighting makes it look good.
