Page 6 - Conclusion

rounddefault-logitech-mx-du.jpgAnd about using this stuff for gaming. The PC myth about wireless mice is that you get lag in 1st person shooters due to the movements being to fast for the mouse to pick up. With other wireless mice yes, not with the MX700. Logitech even markets it as a Wireless Gaming Mouse. I played Enemy Territory for about 4 hours with no hiccups and even had good battery life to boot.

So far this is one of the best mouse/keyboard combos Ive used. If youre looking for a wireless solution for your desktop or LANing then this just may be what youre looking for. Make sure its the one with the MX700, theres a combo that looks similar called the Elite, its bundled with the little brother of the MX700.

Pros

  • Keyboard keys are more spongy than the MS one making for quieter typing
  • Like all the programmable buttons on the keyboard and mouse
  • Wireless with about 10ft of range
  • The mouse works well in 1st person shooters

Cons

  • The media button isnt fully programmable
  • The Auto-update program Messenger doesnt work (or I dont have it setup right, pretty sure I do though), I had to get driver updates myself, no biggie since Im a tweaker but would be frustrating for mom and dad who just spent all that money on this and some features dont work right due to the default/stock drivers.
  • Keyboard wrist thing is flimsy
  • Pricey
