With media prioritization you can decide which devices or applications get priority network band-with wise. Example you can give streaming a movie more priority over downloading.

The router has a built in WAN speed test. Unfortunately it tested in England while we are based in the Netherlands, the results did not match up. a local test however shows we get 100% of the available band-with from our ISP. We'll show you that in the benchmarks.

The router has eSata and USB 2.0/3.0 connectivity ports, you can mount the content and use it for a network shared devices, FTP server or even UPnP Media server. Great stuff.

We now start the more serious stuff. The router configures itself really good automatically, but of course you can change stuff manually. We see we have the latest firmware proper timezone and our WIFI networks are up and running. I dislike that the router displays the network passwords anywhere and everywhere.

The WRT1900AC supports VLAN tagging, it actually comes pre-configured, so you can replace the wireless router you have from your ISP with the WRT1900AC. The WRT1900AC would connect directly to the Optical Network Terminal (ONT).
