Once you have things right and power on your PC for the first time, the traditional rainbow animation will start. With your mobo software or the controller, you can now change your animation or even static color of your preference.

Personally, I am a bit done with the RGB hype, but have to admit, this one is pretty frickin' cool. Every string is addressable, which is a bit hypnotizing.

Concluding

The Lian-Li Strimer is one RGB implementation that I seem to appreciate. It's not easy to work with the actual ATX extension cable though as the cable is a little too rigid and gets stiffer when you apply that layer of RGB. Then again, all bendy would probably not work either. The reality is also that it's a one-time job, as once installed, you'll never look back. RGB connectors are a bit of a zoo with many different standards. If yours isn't compatible, simply use the included controller board which works really nicely and offers many configurations. It's just that you cannot sync up the RGB ATX cable with your motherboard and the rest of the RGB components, of course. For 40 euros you get a fun addition in your colorful PC, however, it's quite a bit of money for a bit of RGB bling. I bet the ATX sleeved extension cable and the controller board were the most expensive parts. If you are going to use the RGB header on your the motherboard - please use the cable supplied with the motherboard RGB connector. Overall, once up and running the Strimer makes an impression, whether you personally like the RGB bling is another question. It looks very good and can complement your PC build with something really unique.
