With the all black PCI bracket controller, that is shown below, you can cycle through 10 different RGB preset modes as well as a digital RGB addressable header for those with the compatible motherboards. You can also slow down and speed up animations as well as set brightness levels.

So again, the three buttons offer you ten different lighting effects (rainbow colors, single, fixed colors, alternating colors). In addition, the brightness and the speed of the effects can be changed in four steps each. You power it with one cable leading towards a SATA connector, and the other towards the RGB string.

It's not bendy

Not the RGB LEDs, but the actual ATX cable is very sturdy, moving it a bit is difficult with that extra layer of RGB on top of it, tension is the word I am looking for. This will hinder you during installation. So, think through how you need to install it. My advice, first position the ATX power extension cable, once you have that right, apply the RGB string.

The LED strip needs to be applied to small inserts, and when you bend the cable these will easily slip out, once positioned though you'll likely never have to deal with it again. However please do be aware of this, installation of the cable can be a bothersome experience as it just is a short 20cm extension cable.

Another problem is the jungle that is called RGB these days, most motherboards have a proprietary connector. 4-pin, 3-pin 5 and 12 Volts. This is a 3-pin 12V connector. But even here some motherboards have rearranged the connector pins, ergo you need to use the connector cables supplied with the motherboard. it would be nice to see simple unified RGB standard pins and software.
