Final Words & Conclusion
Final Words & Conclusion
The JPR600 looks nice for an NVMe drive. This is due to the usage of the radiator. This is not only the decoration, it does its job very well. This is a TLC NAND product, and that does show in some areas (long sustained writes), but even in worst-case scenarios, it's over 50% faster than a typical SATA drive. It should be an excellent choice for typical office users or gamers, it should be also good for some heavy users (not literally of course).
Performance
Bandwidths are as listed by Leven, with no real complaints in this department. You get what you are paying for. It did well in real-life tests. The temperatures were well under control, and a result around 45 degrees is more than acceptable, with no unfavorable impact on the drive’s performance. The 1 cm radiator/heatsink does what it is supposed to.
Conclusion
This is a good product, so we’ve decided to give it an “Approved” award. You can buy this 2 TB version for about 300 EUR, while well worth it, it's a relatively okay amount of money compared to some A-brands out there at 15 Cents per GB. We're impressed with the heatsink that was used here. The temps didn't go beyond 45 degrees, so the performance wasn't hurt by the throttling. The performance is good, and the thermals are excellent, so typical gamers/users should be satisfied with the JPR600. Oh, and Leven provides a five-year warranty on the JPR600 SSD above the market standard. We'd like to see some PCIe Gen 4 NvMe 1.3 drive later in Leven's portfolio. It looks like a natural move for this brand.
