A closer look - unboxing
The Lamptron HM101’s plain cardboard box has a sticker on it with an overview of the product.
When you open the box, you can see a piece of plastic foam that protects the display (it was all good when it arrived from China), an HDMI->mini HDMI cable and a part of the desk stand. What’s else is there?
This is the full overview of the accessories that you can find in the box: a 1m HDMI cable, USB cable for powering the screen, a desk stand, and a pen drive with some ready layouts.
The desk stand is made mainly from steel, with a bit of plastic. It’s quite easy to adjust the position of the screen, even vertically.
The screen itself is black and has a rather thin bezel. There are no accents or logos here; just a plain unit.
On the back, you can see five buttons: menu, up/down navigation, auto, and power on/off. There’s also a LED indicating if the unit is on, two speakers, a slot for the stand (that type is not provided), and some information about the model and power parameters (voltage).
On the right side of the screen, you can see the following:
- (mini) HDMI 1
- (mini) HDMI 2
- Headphone output
- Micro USB connection (provides power to the unit)
- DC – for an external power supply, if the unit is not used with a PC.
Let’s see what this baby can do, ok?
