Final Words & Conclusion

The InWin Dragon Rider chassis is one of the most complete cases available on the market. Now sure, there will always be a need to upgrade current technology and with time that passes new requirements will be created, but this doesnt mean that it has flaws or whatever other negatives at this very moment.

Its a full-sized tower, painted black inside out, cool looking, and sports impressive LED lighting. The price is not exactly friendly, about 170 bucks. But hey, you are buying a dragon, not a little pet. Okay, maybe that is not a valid excuse, but truth be told, you get every single penny worth of your money. There are pre-drilled holes for dual radiator setups on top, while others are already spotted in the right places for proficient cable management. What matters the most is how the DragonRider chassis utilizes its vast interior spaces, for which its so obvious; InWin has studied from an end-users perspective, which is why everything just fits perfectly into place.

You can choose the number of installed fans and their respective locations, depending how silent you want your system to be. There are many minor (for some) and major (for others) details that we liked during this review. For example the hidden port near the bay area, where you can secure your costly storage devices.

Another point worth mentioning is that we managed to install a custom water-cooling loop inside the case without any problems whatsoever, which means that this case is perfect for cool and quiet guys (or girls!) who want a decent chassis for their hardware and cooling equipment. You could actually mount a triple radiator using your imagination; I would, but I had no time to do it. If you are a restless case modder, then you could drill some holes and place an extra radiator (two of them) inside the case for two separate loops: CPU and GPU. Speaking of GPUs you are free to setup any Quad SLI/Crossfire combinations without size-restriction problems.

Numbers: I love the airflow of this dragon. The CPU with LCS, clocked at stock speed measures 23C (idle) and 39C (stress) while my ambient room temp is 23C. If I had a better pump, such as Laing D5, I would have had some better results on a stress scenario but I do not complain, I am ok with it.

guru3d-recommended_150px.jpgAll in all, we can reach this conclusion: this case is huge and well-designed. Its beautiful (but of course this is a matter of taste), attractive and impressive. Undoubtedly its one of the most decent full towers available on the market now and we have faith on it.

Yeah, its a dragon after all, trained for your need and habits. Highly recommended.
