So as you can see, the frequency looks a bit off. It's correct though. Turbo mode is enabled, our processors are at work and as such it is boosting the clock frequency by 133 MHz.

Hmmm, yep... all cache is there too! That L3 cache is certainly nice and big at 12MB. Then 6x256KB L2 cache and obviously a 384KB L1 cache. (6x 32i+32d per core)

Memory then, we learn that 1066 MHz DDR3 in triple channel is supported, 1333Mhz as such isn't. You can tweak the memory frequency out much higher of course once you start to play around with the base clock. But it indicates that the Core i7 980X is more limited in its available memory dividers. We'll swiytch to CAS9 JEDEC for the tests BTW.

And last but not least, the motherboard. We'll be using the ASUS Rampage II Extreme motherboard today. We used the latest revision 1802 SBIOS.
