Intel 847 with NM70 review - Memory Subsystem tests

Memory Read test

Opposed to the primary competing products like Atom 330 / AMD E350 the memory controller is dual channel and that shows alright, as such memory performance is hovering at give or take 7500 MB/sec.

Now for the charts what we'll do continuously is to compare to Intel's Atom 330 and the AMD E350 Mini-ATX solution.

Memory Write test

Memory write performance wise we see exactly the same stuff, roughly 6350 MB/sec of bandwidth. Great for Intel, but it puzzles me a little that AMD's E350 did not opt to go for dual-channel really.

We test Intel Celeron 847 with NM70 today with the ECS NM70-I2 mini ITX motherboard, have a look at some of its performance on the CPU and GPU side of things but most of all, we'll discuss features as what these products bring to the table is just downright impressive.
