Let's have a look at the motherboard being tested today. We actually shouln't call it motherboard as it's an all-in-one solution really with its embedded CPU and GPU.

Alright, the product used here is the ECS NM70-I2 ... and yes, that box is as tiny as it looks. The entire motherboard is as wide as that rear IO bracket. You'll receive a manual, Rear IO bracket, two SATA cables and driver CD alongside the product.

The motherboard is mini-ITX based, that's like 17x17cm. Embedded on the is the Celeron 847 dual-core processor based on Sandy Bridge rated at 17 Watts and to the lower left you can already see it covered with the NM70 chipset.

I wasn't joking by the way, that's 17 cm. Here we have the rear connectivity:

  • 1 x PS/2 keyboard & PS/2 mouse connectors
  • 1 x D-sub(VGA)
  • 1 x DVI Port or HDMI 1.4a port
  • 1 x Serial port(COM)
  • 4 x USB 2.0 Ports
  • 1 x RJ45 LAN connector Gigabit Ethernet
  • 1 x Audio port (Line Out/ Mic in/Line out) 6 channels

As you can observe, this little motherboard is loaded with features. two things that come to mind though would be the lack of an Optical TOSLINK output and considering we are in the year 2013 ... USB 3.0 ports.
