Right, testing time. And here's the shocker .. I'm not at all happy with the cooling performance of this iChill Striker3 version !

Let's have a look.

Now in all fairness, it was a little hotter the day we measured. We measured at a room temperature of 24-25 Degrees C while we usually test at ~22 Degrees C.

For the chart, temperature is in Degrees Celsius: lower = better 3

Inno3D GeForce 8600 GTS standard model

Inno3D GeForce 8600 GTS i-Chill model, way higher temperatures.

The stunning fact is that the Striker3 iChill cooled product was showing quite disturbing results, while idling at ~55 Degrees at full load it peaks towards 89 Degrees C, and while that is still acceptable for the GPU it's quite more than all previous tested 8600 GTS cards to date.

Now compare it to the standard reference cooled Inno3D GeForce 8600 GTS ... correct, it cools better then that heatpipe cooler.
