iNEO NAS STorage Unit

By removing four screws at the bottom of the unit we can pull out the HDD bay. Inside the NAS is a mini-PC slapped on a PCB really. Let's have a look.

Here we have the drive cage, all the way in the back we see PCB mounted with two SATA/power connectors. You can insert two HDDs. The two hard drives can be configured in a RAID array; there is support for two RAID levels 0, 1 or of course non-raid in a normal setup.

You simply insert the HDDs and place them in four rubber mounts. Screw the HDD secure and that's it. For this test we will also insert an SSD to test performance without any bottleneck.

Once powered up the front side of the NAS unit will show the unit booting up. You can press the mode button top display essentials like the assigned IP, temperatures space left on the storage devices .. quite handy really.
