The Verdict

So this was our first product we tested for In Win and it certainly does not disappoint. With everything we threw at the PSU, GPU and overclock wise, we got fairly close to it's theoretical maximum. Now in all fairness, with 4 GPUs and an overclocked CPU, I would recommend something a little higher in terms of wattage, I like a little reserve for sure. But the fact remains that with everything we did, the system remains rock solid stable, and neither were we able to measure any significant voltage fluctuations. As such the PSU certainly passed our real-world test.

Aesthetics wise we have nothing to complain about either. The design is really good, it remains quiet and we like the modular connectivity. The one small deficit has to be the PCIe GFX cables, all four of them are only 50 CM. it would have been nice to see 70 CM cables. Especially with SLI where you have a card located in the lower segment of the PC the reach can be a little limited. Other than that, we like the PSU. In Win offers the product at roughly 150 USD right now at e-tail and it's certainly worth the money.

For that money you receive a good quality PSU with modular sleeved cables, high performance yet efficient output and a very safe and protected environment wrapped up in a very silent package. It's an easy to use, understand and connect (modular) power supply so I do not see any downside to this product. The product is covered by a full three year warranty and as such we can recommend it.

Again, we put the PSU close to its maximum, yet it passed with flying colors.

* Update, once registered at In Win, you'll receive a limited life-time warranty on this product.

We will be reviewing the In Win Commander series power supply. Commander, as in military. And that shows, army camouflage packaging, and an army green PSU. Quite funny to observe really. Marketing sure, but somehow .. this concept works out really well. A fairly high-end power supply. But is it any good ? Let's fire off some rounds and ground the PSU with some serious ammo.
