4. How much money did you spend on the rig as it is right now?

This is a question I am often asked, but have a hard time answering. Lots of the components for the build is sponsored, and many of the parts are custom designed, and are one off parts that will most likely never be reproduced. This has a certain effect on the price, as single part manufacturing tend to be quite expensive and time consuming. The best answer I can give is that to replicate this build, you are looking at around 7000$ excluding the man hours I spent on all the custom parts, and work such as sleeving and the general modifications.

5. How often do you update/buy a new rig?

I often build new rigs, but my main rig, which is what this rig has become normally last me a year or two before I build a new one. When starting the hobby I quickly learned that trying to mod your main rig is a stupid idea as it is hard to predict the amount of downtime should anything go wrong/take longer than you anticipate. This is why I have always build a main rig, and then had a mod on the side that I could work on when I felt like it.
