4. How much money did you spend on the rig as it is right now?

To be honest, I don't know. I did not buy all parts on the same time, some parts are from my old rig, and some of the parts were shipped in from USA. I don't know if I should add in taxes and shipping to those prices. A shot from the hip is around $5000 in local prices for the finished rig.

5. How often do you update/buy a new rig?

Too often :) Normally, a rig lasts around 6 months before I have something new I want to do. Sometimes, my upgrade itch can be fixed by building rigs for my friends, but at some point I'll run out of friends in need of new rigs. Hopefully at that time, they will want to upgrade as well..

6. What components are used?

  • CPU:                        Intel Core i7-3820 @ 4.8 Ghz @ 1.42 Volt
  • CPU Cooler:              MCP35X running an EK Supremacy CPU block, EK block on the Mosfets and all bitspower                                      fittings. The rig has one internal 240mm Radiator with Gentletyphoon fans and one semi                                      external 240mm radiator with Corsair SP120 fans
  • Motherboard:           Asus Rampage IV Formula
  • Memory:                  16GB Generic Corsair ddr3 1600 Mhz RAM
  • SSD                        Samsung 120 GB SSD

  • 2.5"HDD                  Seagate Momentus 320 GB
  • 2.5"HDD                  Seagate momentus 500 GB
  • Graphics cards:         x EVGA SC 780s. One of them has a backplate on, the two others do not due to airflow.
  • Wireless network:      D-Link DWA-566
  • Case:                       Bitfenix Prodigy Ottetal Edition
  • Power Supply:           Seasonic x1050 with all custom cables by Reddit user Lavins
