9. What's the best part of your rig?

The best part of my rig is my new reservoir.   Primochill is coming out with a great product with this res, and I was lucky enough to get the first one in the entire world!

10. Any dislikes, things you should not have bought?

The only thing I would change right now, would be the CPU. I wish I would have had it in my budget for a nice I7, but the 8120 still performs great for the money.

11. Did you modify anything ?  cases/video cards/other? Did you do it yourself? Walk us through it.

I modified the case quite extensively. I started off by removing all the HDD bays, and 5.25" drive bays. I them fabricated a panel that extends off of the MB tray to smooth out the back wall. I then fabricated a PSU and radiator shroud to close off the bottom of the case, to smooth that out as well. I then disassembled the case by removing all the rivets, sanblasted all the panels, and painted them. I painted the main color of the exterior satin black, and the plastic trim satin red. I them paint the rear interior panel, and PSU/rad shroud satin red, and the remainder of the interior satin black. To go along with the name I gave to the build, I cut out the front panel door with a Maltese Cross and the number 13. To mount the 360mm rad, I designed a bracket in autocad that bolts in place of the factory 200mm fans. There is also some parts cutout of the case where the bracket sits, to clear room for airflow to the rad.

12. Your 3DMark scores

Here are my 3DMark11 Scores

  • SCORE P9720 3DMarks
  • GRAPHICS SCORE 11646
  • PHYSICS SCORE  6985
  • COMBINED SCORE 5883

13. Do you have any Future updates planned ?

Future updates will be coolant from Primochill's new coolant line when it is released, and probably some better clocking RAM.

Congratulations to this months winner. You will be contacted through email regarding address information. Starting July 2012 the winner of the months Rig of the Month will receive an OCZ Technology Vector 128GB SSD delivered for free at it's doorsteps as a nice incentive.
