I started Project Hades to create something original and different with the Cooler Master MasterCase Maker 5. The case is already highly customisable, but I wanted to go even further. As a theme for the mod, Hades was the ancient Greek god of the underworld, a son of Titans and brother of Zeus and Poseidon.

With the underworld theme in mind, my goal was to create an inverted ATX conversion, with a black and red paint job and custom detailing. I disassembled the whole case, and inverted the motherboard. I got a nice red powder coat for the metal sections and then reassembled the case. I added the Chaos skull case logos and red vinyl pinstriping on the edge of the GPU PCB.

I also added a red colour to the CPU cooler using red acetate inside the case. The final detail was fully sleeved cables, which I think finish the theme nicely. I had to modify (read cut up/hack) the case extensively to make way for the GPU cables as well as the water pass throughs going to the rear compartment. Then I designed both water channels (at the rear of the case and the large one on the motherboard tray) in CAD software and got them manufactured by a CNC company. The ROG logo was also laser cut (which I've attached to the large water channel). The build also has custom made cables as well as a custom designed GPU backplate.
