4. How much money did you spend on the rig as it is right now?

This is a hard one. I haven’t really kept a record, I’m not sure I even want to know. A good guess would be around 2000-3000€, but some of the parts are getting old and as we all know computer parts depreciate fast, so building an identical computer now would probably be a lot less. Still in the end I am very happy spending money on things I love doing.

 5. How often do you update/buy a new rig?

The previous computer I built was back in 2008. It was a Q6600 paired with two Nvidia 8800GT. In September 2011 I upgraded to a 2500K paired with some G.Skill ram on an Asus P8Z68. In August this year i upgraded to a 3570K and an Asus Maximus Gene-V. It seems like I am more into modding/building than using the computer. I used to work on cars a lot but working on computers are more fun and less expensive. So how often i will upgrade in the future is hard to say but i'm guessing every year more or less.
