The heatsinks presentation – Asus Z690 Maximus Apex rad, be quiet! (x2)

Now it’s time to present the heatsinks that we’ll be testing later. We won’t show the bare NVMe disk now, as shown on the previous page.

First up is the Asus Maximus Z690 Apex M.2 heatsink. It’s pretty bulky and free (let’s say, cause the motherboard is not from the cheap ones). 25 mm of height and 149 g is the proper size/weight.

The following two are from be quiet! MC1 M.2 is the first one. It weighs just 17g and measures almost 6 mm in height. Overall it’s a pretty simple heatsink, reminding the typical motherboard type of radiator, especially from the cheaper models.

MC1 Pro M.2. The second is a bit bulkier, and it’s called be quiet! It’s over 50% higher than the non-Pro version and weighs almost double as much.

Next competitors, please.

We made two Thermal Paste roundups – one in 2019 and the second one in 2021. Why won’t we try something else and check the temperature influence for other PC components than the CPU/GPU? Maybe it would be good to test the importance of the radiator on the NVMe drive performance? Why’s that?
