  • Blazing Fast DDR5 Extreme Performance

Using a new era of memory performance, the Trident Z5 brings unparalleled data transfer speeds compared to the previous generation of DDR4 memory. Engineered to the highest performance and quality standards, each Trident Z5 memory module is created from high-quality, hand-screened DDR5 ICs to achieve extreme memory performance on next-gen DDR5 platforms.
  • Extreme Memory Performance with 12th Gen Intel® Core™ CPU & Z690 Platform

G.SKILL is dedicated to developing ever-faster extreme overclocking memory on each new Intel platform generation. Designed and optimized on the latest 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processors and Z690 chipset platform, Trident Z5 taps into the speed potential of DDR5 to bring a whole new
level of performance to worldwide gamers overclockers, and enthusiasts.

  • Premium Dual-Texture Heatspreader Design

The all-new Trident Z5 family incorporates hypercar elements into the iconic Trident heat spreader design, creating a sleek and futuristic exterior. Featuring a black brushed-aluminum strip inset into a metallic silver or matte black body and topped with an elegant black top bar, the Trident Z5 is
ideal for any PC build theme.

  • Revolutionary Performance

Designed to fully utilize the faster frequency speed and boost data transfer rate, each DDR5 IC is implemented with twice the amount of banks and bank groups and a doubled burst length at 32 banks across eight banks with a burst length of 16. Combined with a module layout comprised of
two 32-bit sub-channels, DDR5 memory can deliver more data than DDR4.

  • All-New Power Management Design

Each DDR5 memory module is built with an onboard PMIC (power management integrated circuit) chip, allowing better granular power control and more reliable power delivery to improve signal integrity at high-frequency speeds. They ultimately ensured the highest level of system stability for
       gaming and work.

  • Engineered for the Ultimate DDR5 Experience

Every Trident Z5 memory kit is tested under G.SKILL’s rigorous validation process to ensure the best-in-class reliability and compatibility across the widest range of motherboards.

  • XMP 3.0 Support

Just set and go. Programmed with the latest Intel XMP 3.0 profiles, the only thing between you and extreme performance is a simple setting. Additionally, XMP 3.0 enables two customizable user-defined profiles to be saved in the memory module via BIOS on supported motherboards, so your
fine-tuned memory settings go wherever the modules go.

  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

All G.SKILL memory products come with a limited lifetime warranty, and the G.SKILL technical team is always ready to provide consumers with complete technical support via online forum, telephone, and email.

Enough with the marketing stuff here, so we can proceed to the essence.

Let’s see what we have under the hood. First up is Thaiphoon Burner, which is a very good utility for checking the basic data on a RAM die. According to this program, the chip manufacturer is unknown, so is the rest of the information, so this time the utility didn’t bring us what we were expecting.

CPU-Z then. It shows that Samsung is the DRAM manufacturer. Remembering that in the DDR4 - the B-Die was great, I had some hopes for a nice overclock of this kit.

For the QVL, you need to check the G.Skill website. The chips are covered with a heatsink to ensure that the memory and PCB maintain a similar temperature, providing the best performance. You put the sticks in, enable XMP (which is, in fact, the industry standard, and it’s hard to spot any RAM without this feature nowadays), reboot, and that’s it. Traditionally, we’ll kick off the review with photo-shooting first and then move on to the practical part (benchmark/games).
