Let’s take a look at what makes the GMMK glorious. With a very simple, almost generic, box you get a run down of all the features.

Package Contents

  1. GMMK Keyboard, full-size, 104 keys
  2. Gateron Brown (Cherry MX Brown equivalent), 45g actuation, tactile switch
  3. Modular, replaceable plate-mount MX switches
  4. Red LED per-switch, surface mount, backlighting, several lighting modes, including ‘cat’ mode
  5. Minimalist, unbranded styling
  6. Double-shot ABS backlit compatible keycaps
  7. Braided USB cable, cable management
  8. Alternate esc key, in red
  9. Keypuller integrated into the case, switch puller included

Based on the specifications alone, the GMMK is a pretty solid keyboard. It doesn’t have extra bells and whistles like USB passthrough, RGB backlighting (the de rigueur backlighting today), or a tenkeyless version. It’s just a pure keyboard. I like that a lot.
