Gigabyte XTREME GAMING XP1200M PSU review - Product Showcase

There is one top 140mm fan; a double ball bearing fan. In our experience the PSU is not 100% silent as you can slightly hear that fan, but does remain silent enough alright. A lot of other power supplies these days remain passive up-to 40% load, it would have been nice to see something similar with this unit.

With the fan active, the power supply certainly stays cool, even at a ~700 Watt stress test the PSU was just lukewarm at best. The PSU has an ATX design yet is slightly more lengthy, it'll fit in any chassis though, its dimensions are: 150 x 180 x 86mm (W x L x H).

This rather sizable power supply will remain relatively silent thanks to the inclusion of a 140mm Smart Fan.The Smart Fan is also extra durable (anything durable has written Gigabyte all over it) due to a double ball bearing construction.

When it comes to wiring we feel that there's enough connectors for this model, have a look at the supplied connectors, all with decent length by the way. The ATX motherboard connector as well reached to 70CM, the Molex and SATA power cables up-to 100 CM, one 8-pin CPU ATX power connector is 70 cm the other reaches even 80cm. The PCIE graphics connectors reach 70 cm. Overall very lengthy and thus impressive.

We see rubber ribbon dark and flat cabling with dark colored connectors. That's a good design. As stated, these cables all have a really proper nice length as well.

The +12V rails certainly is excessive alright. You'll get one massive rail of them rated at 100Amps. 100Ax12V=1200 Watt. Though Gigabyte designed the PSU, they did not fab it. We have no confirmation on the ODM but that looks like Enhance Electronics Co., Ltd to me alright. Nice to see Rubycon, Nippon chemicon capacitors though, these are considered top ranking components.

Gigabyte B550 Vision D review
Meet the Gigabyte B550 Vision D motherboard. This product from the Vision series (which includes also a Z490 motherboard) is an AMD AM4 socket product targeted at creators. Built in the ATX form-factor, the design resembles GB’s Designaire models. Make no mistake, this is a high-end product. It should provide excellent stability, and boasts features not to be found in cheaper models.
