To the middle in the photo you can see one of the two the M2 slots, both of them are x4, this means 32 Gbps. In theory you could actually RAID the two and double up performance once more.
The Gigabyte Z170X Gaming G1 has rather bright looks as there are LED arrays (red) built in on-board, from left to right you see the audio circuitry isolation traces; up-to LED lit elements on the heatsinks. The EMI shielded audio solution is based on Creative certified Sound Blaster Recon3Di with 7.1-Channel High Definition Audio and support for S/PDIF output.
There's plenty of LEDs. Up on top you can spot the diagnostic POST LED a bit better. And yes even the trace in front of the ATX power connectors lights up. Just one 8-pin connector to power that processor of yours, but it should be plenty though. The motherboard has a 10-Phase Digital Power Delivery Design.
OK, one more - luckily the LEDs aren't too bright or anything. But you do need to like the color red alright :) The audio trace LEDs are RGB configurable and can be changed with the help of included software. Overall a terrific looking product. BTW the post code on the diagnostic LED remains '6F' once booted into you OS, it does not display your processor temperature as it seems.
